Mission

The mission of the Yakima Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is to encourage the development of Hispanic/Latino businesses in Yakima County and contiguous areas by providing a support base for educational and economic growth opportunities. The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (HCC) shall serve as an advocate for Latino/Hispanic business issues and as a partner in support of issues confronting the Latino/Hispanic community as a whole.

The Yakima Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a registered 501(c)(3) and a member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.


Programs

  • Provide technical assistance for small businesses with obtaining licenses, accounting, access to loans, and more.
  • Initiated the creation of the Microenterprise Revolving Loan Fund in 1996. To date, $3 million of loan capital has been made available. 90% of this has been to Hispanic/Latino businesses.
  • Prime sponsor of the Fiesta Grande Cinco de Mayo in downtown Yakima since 2001.
  • Partner with the Better Business Bureau to curtail scams targeting Latino/Hispanic businesses.
